Nowhere in Africa (German: Nirgendwo in Afrika) is a 2001 German drama film that was written and directed by Caroline Link. The screenplay is based on the 1995 autobiographical novel of the same name by Stefanie Zweig. It tells the story of the life in Kenya of a German-Jewish family that emigrated there in 1938 to escape persecution in Nazi Germany. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film as well as the 2001 German Film Award (Deutscher Filmpreis) in five categories, including Best Fiction Film.
A Jewish family in Germany emigrate short before the Second World War. They move to Kenya to start running a farm, but not all members of the family come to an arrangement with their new life. Shortly after their departure, things are changing in Germany very quickly, and a turning back seems impossible. So everyone has to arrange himself with the new life in a new continent.

V Praze zasednou k improvizovanému obědu, který tvoří buřty s hořčicí. Po obědě sice přichází na řadu nedělní pohoda, ale ve skutečnosti je to klid před bouří. Vše začíná, když se Ludva pokusí přemluvit Heduš, aby šla s dětmi a babi na dostihy sama a jeho nechala jít s dědou na fotbal.

The grandfather and grandmother have settled comfortably in the grass, their son Ludva romps about in the river with his two young twin sons and his podgy wife Hedus dances among the trees, while the beer gets cooled in the water.

I Still Hide To Smoke (in French: À mon âge je me cache encore pour fumer) is a 2016 French-Greek-Algerian drama film directed by Rayhana Obermeyer.
Fatima, a strong-minded woman, is the lead masseuse of a hammam in Algiers. This is 1995 and the situation is tense in the capital. The day ahead promises to be hectic for all, and for Fatima in particular. Already, while walking to her place of work, she is the distant witness of a terrorist attack. At the hammam, Fatima should feel better, but the atmosphere proves electric in her small enclosed world, she has great difficulty in maintaining order. All the more as Meriem, a sixteen-year-old pregnant girl comes to take shelter at the hammam. And as irate brother, Mohamed, is after her to cleanse his honor in blood.

At first glance, not much is happening in My Grandmother's House. A grandmother is taking care of her grandchild while her parents are at work. Six-year-old Marina is expected to conform to the daily rituals that determine 75-year-old Marita's conservative and religious life in a dull industrial town in the Spanish Alicante province. The girl rebels in her own impulsive and headstrong way against her grandmother's strictness and sombre outlook on life. Adan Aliaga visualises the naturalness of their contact and the seemingly insurmountable differences between their worlds. Simple actions are the starting point from which the director, in short chapters, zooms in on recalcitrant sensitivities and ironic details. This makes the film a poetic and subtle exploration of Marina's still unbiased and innocent attitude on the one hand and Marita's repressed pain and growing despair on the other. The fact is that the house Marita has lived in for 52 years has to be demolished, and she cannot stand the thought of moving. Playfully and tenderly, My Grandmother's House shows the bickering and the nevertheless invariable love between a grandmother and her grandchild.

The girl is left in the care of her aunt (Tova Magnusson-Norling), but she doesn't care for the concerns and constraints of the adult world, and she spends most of the summer looking after herself. The girl explores the various nooks and crannies of her house that are foreign to her, and then heads outside to take a closer look at the neighborhood. Her neighbor Tina (Emma Wigfeldt), who is a few years older, is preoccupied with the rituals of adolescence, most of which bore the girl, but she does strike up a friendship with Ola (Vidar Fors), a boy her age who joins her as she walks through the woods, and helps her rummage through a barn and try to make sense of the larger community around them. An Impudent Girl (French: L'Effrontée) is a 1985 French film directed by Claude Miller. It stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, who won the César Award for Most Promising Actress, and Bernadette Lafont, who won the César Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. It is a free adaptation of the novel Frankie Addams (French title of Carson McCullers's The Member of the Wedding).
The film won the Louis Delluc Prize, and received César nominations for Best Film, Best Director, Most Promising Actor, Best Writing, Best Costume Design and Best Sound.
Charlotte Castang is a working-class 13-year-old girl, who lives in a drab, run-down neighbourhood, and is ready to become an adult. Her mother died giving birth to her, and she lives with her crass brother, and her father whose attention is elsewhere. Her only friend is Lulu, a sick 10-year-old she regards as a pest. Charlotte is antisocial, bored and dreams of a better life. Her life improves when she meets Clara Bauman, a pianist prodigy whom she admires. Charlotte wants to be friends with Clara, whom she sees as a potential route to prosperity, while the sophisticated Clara jokingly suggests that Charlotte should become her manager.

Solange die fürsorgliche Oma im Krankenhaus liegt, muss dringend Ersatz für die Betreuung des fünfjährigen Robert gefunden werden, denn Dr. Schöns großer Sohn Clemens verbringt gerade seine Schulferien auf einem Zeltplatz an der Ostsee.
Glücklicherweise erklärt sich Roberts Erzieherin bereit, den aufgeweckten Jungen zu sich zu nehmen. Die Tage mit dem kleinen Robert lenken Josi auch ein bisschen von ihrem eigenen Kummer ab. Sie ist schwanger, doch ihr Freund will das Kind nicht und droht, Josi zu verlassen. C'est la vie (French: La Baule-les-Pins) is a semi-autobiographical 1990 French drama written and directed by Diane Kurys. Like Peppermint Soda, Cocktail Molotov, and Entre Nous the plot revisits the theme of divorce and its effects. Set in the French beach resort of La Baule-les-Pins in the summer of 1958, it is mainly narrated in voice-over from the thirteen-year-old Frédérique's diary.
Summer 1958. Frédérique and Sophie go on vacation as they do every year to La Baule, where they find their uncle, Léon, nice and loud mouth, their aunt Bella, pregnant, and their little cousins. Like every year? Not quite. This year, Léna, their mother, is still staying in Lyon for mysterious reasons. If Sophie's six-year-old's don't pay attention any more, Frédérique's thirteen-year-old noticed a discomfort between Mom and Dad. In fact, nothing is going well. Léna can no longer support life with Michel, her husband, and is in love with a young artist, Jean-Claude. He comes to join Léna as soon as she arrives and finds her every evening on the beach, in her tent. The smoldering crisis does not prevent children from doing stupid things (setting fire to the Mickey Club, poisoning goldfish with suppositories), nor from experiencing their first emotional emotions. One day, Michel arrives. Things are going very badly, and Frédérique is forced to intervene to separate him from his mother. Lena then announces her decision to divorce the children. Michel will try to convince her one last time, but in vain. At the end of the holidays, Léna and the two little girls do not return to Lyon.

Fia bor i Haradshovdingens hus och ager den vita stenen, som inte bara ar vit och vacker utan aven len. Fia haller stenen kar men en dag traffar hon Hampus som lovar att mala ogon-nasa-mun pa kyrkklockan om han far stenen av Fia. Fia i det fina huset och skomakarens brorson Hampus utvecklar en spannande vanskap byggd pa utmaningar.
Tva barn, Fia som bor i haradshovdingens hus, och Hampus som ar skomakarens brorson, inleder en lek dar de maste utfora olika uppdrag for att kunna erovra en vit sten fran varandra. Hampus, som kallar sig Farornas konung efter en figur pa en cirkus, lovar att mala oga-nasa-mun pa kyrkuret, och lyckas med det. Fia, som anvander namnet Fideli, far utmaningen att vara tyst en hel dag, men det gor det valdigt svart for henne att varna Farornas konung nar haradshovdingen tanker undersoka vem som klottrat pa kyrkans egendom.

Die kleine Sabine lebt nach dem Unfalltod ihrer Eltern im Heim. Langsam lebt sie sich ein. In ihrer Erzieherin Edith sieht sie fast eine zweite Mutter. Als Edith wegen ihrer Schwangerschaft den Beruf aufgibt, bricht für Sabine eine Welt zusammen. Sie läuft aus dem Heim davon, irrt zwei Tage und Nächte durch Berlin auf der Suche nach Menschen, denen sie sich mit ihrem Kummer anvertrauen kann. Es gibt flüchtige Begegnungen in einem Zirkus, auf einem Ausflugsdampfer mit einem alten Mann, mit einem polnischen Jungen, der seine Eltern sucht. Irgendwann erkennt Sabine, dass alle diese Menschen ihr zwar gut sind, aber nicht auf Dauer für sie sorgen können. Sie geht zurück ins Heim, das doch ihr Zuhause geworden ist.

Helmut Dziuba, director of many children’s and youth film classics, tells his prize-winning story from Sabine’s subjective viewpoint. The film’s themes of loss, loneliness, and death stand out as markedly atypical and bold—especially, but not only in the context of East German cinema.

Celia (also known as Celia: Child of Terror) is a 1989 Australian horror drama film written and directed by Ann Turner. The film centers on the title character, whose family becomes caught up in the midst of the 1950s Red Scare, with their responses leading to tragic consequences.
In suburban Melbourne in the 1950s, amidst the Red Scare and a rabbit plague, Celia (Rebecca Smart) is a troubled nine-year-old caught up in these events, as well as family crises, and whose response to them eventually leads to tragic consequences.

Ils se rejoindront par le sang, celui de la mort et celui de la puberté. Entre chasse à l’homme et éveil sexuel, le film met en scène le croisement de ces deux errances que tout semble séparer. Entre 1968 et 1972, Marcel Hanoun réalise quatre films (« L’Été », « L’Hiver », « Le Printemps » et « L’Automne »), dans lesquels, au fil des saisons, il aborde les sujets principaux de son œuvre : l’actualité, l’identité ou le processus de création. Dans « Le Printemps », unique film pour lequel ce cinéaste anticonformiste ait reçu une avance sur recettes du CNC, il interroge la question de l’identité à travers deux êtres opposés : un homme fuyant la mort et une jeune fille espiègle, à la découverte du monde et de son corps. Michael Lonsdale, comédien audacieux, incarne cet individu traqué et témoigne une nouvelle fois de son intérêt pour un cinéma d’avant-garde.

Für die Staffel 1973/74 erhielt der Regisseur Elmar Maria Lorey 1975 den Adolf-Grimme-Preis mit Silber.
Die Rappelkiste dient bis heute als Namensgeber für Kindertagesstätten, Spielhäuser, Theatergruppen und andere Einrichtungen für Kinder. In den allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch übergegangen ist außerdem die Variante eines traditionellen Abzählreims aus dem Vorspann der Serie: Ene mene miste, es rappelt in der Kiste, ene mene meck, und du bist weg.
